in short: Yonathan Mizrachi (Ph.D., Harvard University, 1992) is an anthropologist and information specialist. He writes and teaches at the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Emek Yezreel Academic College, Israel and during the years 2003-2007 he was the head of Applied Anthropology program. He writes and teaches at the departments of Library and Information Science and the Graduate School of Business at the University of Haifa and on the following subjects: Evolutionary thought and social theory, management of knowledge and intellectual capital in modern organizations, the history of information technology, information theory of cyberspace, the workplace of 2000, and information systems and organizational theory (especially Business Process Management and Process Redesign). He is also a graduate (1994) of the School for Educational Leadership in Jerusalem, where he specialized in curriculum development for adult education and application of Information Technology to education. Dr. Mizrachi now serves also as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Mandel Leadership Institute, Jerusalem. Dr. Mizrachi has received a number of teaching awards from both Harvard and Haifa universities. He has engaged in major consulting work for the private and the public sectors in Israel in the areas of competitive business intelligence, knowledge management, and coordination of information systems with organizational architecture and information workflow. He has also consulted in the area of information technology and education for the Israeli Ministry of Education and the Israeli Ministry of Finance, and is serving as an advisor to The National Committee for Information Society Technology in Israel (www.maor.gov.il). Currently Dr. Mizrachi is a senior research fellow at the BRM institute for Technology and Society. His current applied research at the institute is focused on the development of a national roadmap scheme for effective Local e-Government implementation and deployment in Israel. Dr. Mizrachi is a fourth-generation member of a family of vineyard growers (since 1903) in Givat Ada, Israel, where he now lives with his wife Noga and their three children. Society Technology in Israel. The committee was appointed by 1999-2001: Active involvement from day one in business strategy and development issues, high-level R&D efforts and daily operations in the Internet startup NetOnCourse Ltd (now Invoke Solutions). The company now has about 30 employees with offices in New Jersey and Ramat Gan. Investments made by MVC Capital and the BRM group. Responsibilities in the business strategy and development were performed in a very close manner with company founders and CEO including defining markets for the generic technology, establishing relations with industry analysts, identifying competitive landscapes, zeroing down vertical markets and adjusting value propositions accordingly, preparation of generic marketing (Marcom) and pre-deployment ASP materials and conceptual as well as business oriented white papers. Responsibilities in product R&D included concept structuring and high-level design of a real-time mass participation interaction system for web-conferencing and web-based corporate training. Detailed design of the system with software engineers included delineation of server processes to generate real time Meta-data and validations of client-server processes.
